At SEE Linkages, we take great pride in maintaining a workplace that ensures the safety and well-being of all our employees. As part of our commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, we celebrated the 54th National Safety Week this year with enthusiasm, unity, and a shared focus on a safer and healthier workplace.

National Safety Week, observed from March 4th to 10th, is an essential reminder of the importance of fostering safety awareness and promoting safe practices across industries. This year, the theme for the celebration was “Safety and Well-being Crucial for Viksit Bharat,” which perfectly aligns with our ongoing efforts to enhance the safety culture at SEE Linkages.

Kick-Off with a Safety Pledge: A Commitment to Safety

On the first day of National Safety Week, we saw more than 100 employees, including shop floor workers, take the Safety Pledge. This powerful gesture demonstrated their commitment to upholding safety protocols and standards within the workplace. The pledge was a symbolic moment where each employee vowed to prioritize safety in all aspects of their work, ensuring that their actions contribute to a safe working environment not only for themselves but also for their colleagues.

By taking the Safety Pledge, employees at SEE Linkages were reminded that safety is an individual responsibility. Every worker has a crucial role to play in preventing accidents, ensuring proper equipment handling, and adhering to safe working practices. The pledge served as a foundation for the safety awareness initiatives that followed throughout the week.

Engaging and Educational Events: Building a Strong Safety Culture

To reinforce the importance of safety, we organized a series of interactive events aimed at educating our employees about safety measures while keeping them engaged and motivated. These events not only offered valuable knowledge but also provided a platform for employees to express their creativity and awareness of safety topics.

- Safety Slogan Competition: Employees from various departments took part in a slogan competition where they had to come up with catchy, thought-provoking slogans that emphasized workplace safety. This activity helped participants think critically about the role safety plays in their daily work and the importance of communicating safety awareness effectively.

- Safety Quiz Competition: The quiz competition was an exciting and competitive event where participants tested their knowledge of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices for handling hazardous situations. It was a fun yet educational activity that helped reinforce key safety principles.

- Safety Picture Drawing Competition: This creative event allowed employees to express their understanding of safety through art. Drawing pictures related to safety helped participants visualize and internalize the various elements that contribute to a safe working environment.

- Fire Extinguisher Training: As part of the activities, employees also received hands-on fire extinguisher training. This practical session taught employees how to properly use fire extinguishers in case of an emergency, ensuring they are prepared to respond quickly and effectively if a fire breaks out.

- Safety Awareness Discussion on the Shop Floor: Throughout the week, safety awareness discussions were held on the shop floor for both SEE Linkages and our sister company, Eclipse Global. These discussions served as an open forum for employees to share their experiences, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of the safety measures in place. They also gave employees an opportunity to suggest improvements or bring up concerns about workplace safety.

Employee Enthusiasm: The Heart of the Celebration

The enthusiasm of our employees during the week was palpable. From the shop floor workers to senior management, everyone actively participated in the events and demonstrated a commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment. The energy and dedication shown by our team were inspiring, and it reinforced the importance of collaboration in achieving a culture of safety.

One of the most heartening pieces of feedback we received was that SEE Linkages is a safe environment for all employees, and many of our workers have been with the company for 15-20 years, which is a testament to the company’s consistent commitment to maintaining a secure and welcoming workplace for everyone.

The Grand Finale: Recognizing Safety Champions and Group Photo

The celebrations came to an end by recognizing our safety champions on the final day of the week, where our Managing Director, Mr. Sameer Khera, and CCO Ms. Monali Dhavaskar, presented prizes to the winners of the various competitions. This was followed by a group photo, capturing the moment as we celebrated the collective efforts of all participants. The ceremony was a fitting end to a week full of learning, teamwork, and commitment to safety.

The Key Message: Safety is a Shared Responsibility

At SEE Linkages, we believe that safety is an ongoing journey, not just a one-time event. The key message we communicated throughout the week was clear: “Safety is individual responsibility; shortcuts lead to deep cuts; be safe for your family.” This message reflects our belief that safety must be embedded in the daily lives of our employees, no matter their role. From the CEO to the shop floor workers, every employee has a role to play in making the workplace safer.

We also understand that safety isn’t just about preventing accidents. It’s about ensuring the physical and mental well-being of all employees. Therefore, it is essential to foster a workplace where health and safety are prioritized in every process and every task.

Looking Ahead: Continuing Our Safety Journey

As we reflect on this year’s National Safety Week celebrations, we are reminded that safety is not a one-time event, but rather an ongoing process that needs to be integrated into our daily work culture. By continually educating our employees, fostering an open dialogue about safety, and celebrating the efforts of those who actively contribute to a safer environment, we are laying the foundation for a strong and sustainable safety culture at SEE Linkages.

We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to enhance our workplace safety practices for the well-being of our employees and the future success of our company.
